Combat Boots & A Utility Jacket

There’s nothing that I love more in the fall than a good pair of boots. I honestly can’t just limit that to one pair because I have “a few good pairs of boots” lined up in my closet. There’s something about the sense of completion they bring to your outfit. Pair them with practically anything and it’s a game changer. Here’s another easy peezy fall outfit you too could give a try.

Sage Green Utility Jacket: Kohl’s

This cozy sage green color is a fall staple and year after year I see it return, just as beautiful as before. I enjoy taking in what’s around me, in particular nature. When I am wearing this color it compliments the vibrant fall foliage that is currently blossoming around us. Aside from the color of this jacket, I adore that it has so many pockets. It’s nice not constantly holding things in my hands or always having to carry a handbag…I’m sure there’s more people like me, right? All I have to do while sporting this gem is stuff my keys, cards and phone in whichever pocket my little heart desires. It’s a solid, thick material as well so it is certainly functional as well.

Velvet Matte Lip Pencil: Nars

I took a reprieve from anything colored on my lips for a bit, but with these warm tones I have been wearing lately, I can’t resist. This lip color is one of my go-to’s and not only because of its shade, but the convenience of applying and wearing it. It’s one of Nars’ lip pencils (they literally look like a thick colored pencil). It doesn’t smudge, doesn’t dry out your lips like a normal matte gloss would AND it is super simple to apply.

Not to mention: It can easily slip into one of my many pockets.

Mid-Rise Skinny Dark Wash Denim: Old Navy

Back at it again with this Old Navy denim I’m obsessing over. I can’t stress enough how much they have to offer when it comes to finding the right fit for your body type. I switch it up. This pair is more of  looser, slouchy fit and the dark wash is perfect for this fall inspired outfit.

…Another one of my $12 pairs

Relaxed Hi-Lo V-Neck Linen Tee: Old Navy

Another key to life is to just have a regular linen tee on hand so you can pair it with anything you practically want. I have tons of Old Navy tees that I put under cardigans, sweaters, jackets, etc. I’m all about layering and their variety of styles is vast. You can be sure to find something fitted if that’s your preference or like mine; flowy and loose.

Brown Combat Boots: similar here

I’ve had these boots since last year. They are the ideal combat boot for me because of their versatility. What isn’t pictured is that I can unzip the back a small portion and flip the sides down to reveal a plaid lining. Two styles of boots in one! For this outfit, I felt it was best to keep the plaid tucked away, but on those days when I need an extra something something to spice up my outfit I pull down the sides and bam! I’m also pretty into the lace up factor they have. I can lace them as high or low as I want, once again, depending on the look I’m going for. See the versatility I mentioned? The red accent down the back zipper is a subtle yet essential detail to these as well. It ties my shirt in effortlessly! Mine are no longer available, but you can find similar ones above.

Branch out this fall from just your normal yoga pants, oversized sweater attire and put a chic look together! With just easy staple pieces hanging in your closet I’m sure you have the ability to do so. Don’t get me wrong, I know we are all guilty to reside back to being creatures of comfort, but if nothing else…shock the hell out of someone with a bomb ass outfit. I believe in you! Get up & do it!

BTW: Don’t forget to keep watch for my Rent the Runway dress. *Coming Soon* If you haven’t checked this website out yet, do yourself a favor and do so.
