A redesigned and fresh take on Overdressed & Opinionated has been in the works for quite some time now. BUT, let me tell you the moment is here and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to share it with all of you. Some of you who have been following along with me for a while now know that I love to chat about style, beauty and various facets of life. Nothing new there. However, with 2018 upon us, I plan on bringing SO much more to O&O. That being said, stay tuned to see what’s new and be sure to subscribe so you get my latest posts in your inbox!
Also, I want to give a very special thanks to Kait for making this blog possible. Words can not describe her creative passion, vision capability and of course her genuine nature throughout this process. Thank you, Kait! You’re the best!
To kick off the launch, I thought I would provide you guys with a few fun facts about yours truly to let you in on the Overdressed & at times, very Opinionated woman behind the blog. Enjoy!
Sooo Type A
Unquestionably a blessing and a curse. Keeps me super organized and planned, but I often find myself needing so many aspects of life to be a particular way.
Legal Pads/Notepads Are My Accessory
Along the lines of being a Type A person, list making has to be in my top five fav things to do. Love, love to write things down and get them out of my brain. I’ve heard dozens of times how easy it is to type up a quick list on your phone, but I’ve always preferred handwriting.
I recently graduated from the University of Delaware where I studied Fashion Merchandising, which is literally tons of business classes sprinkled with classes that educated me on the industry. It was tons of fun, but to say the least, I’m thrilled my college days have come to an end.
My (now fiancé) and I have been together for five years. On our fifth anniversary last month, we became engaged! Dan is the most tenderhearted and caring people I have ever met and I love how he always sees the good in every situation. Aside from being my biggest support system in all matters, I couldn’t ask for a better soon to be husband.
We have two pets that are more like needy children that we love with all our hearts. Tilley is a 15lb part-Siamese cat that is sassy and gorgeous. She pretty much runs the house. Tripp is our goofy rescue that is part German Sheppard and Mastiff. He has the cutest puppy face and his name explains it all because we are constantly falling over top of him. We wouldn’t trade them for the world.
The Outdoors Are My Happy Place
I grew up in a rural area, which means playing outside was our go-to activity. Taking walks, roaming the woods and backyard sports were never out of the question. There’s nothing like a breath of fresh air and taking in the saturated views of nature.
I Care About the Environment
Probably due to the aforementioned comments, but I deeply care about the state of our environment. So many of my decisions and actions are conscious and related to the attempt at helping our planet be less polluted. One of my favorite things I learned about in college was all the sustainable movements that are occurring in the fashion industry.
We Want A Tiny House
Yes, seriously serious about this one. We are obsessed with watching tiny home shows that depict how to build your very own and it is honestly incredibly fascinating, yet insanely practical. We literally sit here and daydream of all the other amazing things we could do if we lived out of a tiny home.
Obsessed With Skincare
Primarily, face masks are an almost nightly thing. When I put a face mask on, I feel like I’m doing something noble for my skin. Plus, they do have countless benefits. I LOVE trying new beauty products, but skincare products are where it’s at! Nothing like it.
Aspiring to Inspire
Bringing you back to the very rhyme and reason I began O&O, I am here because I want to inspire the people that read my blog. I’m not doing this to only post photos of stylish outfits or the latest products, but striving to connect with you guys on a deeper level.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post & you can shop what I’m wearing in it, here:
